Dictionary.com Releases List Of Most Searched Words At Various Colleges

We’ve all done it: we forget the meaning of a word, need a synonym for a specific word or need to know how to spell a word. So where do we turn? Dictionary.com.

To college students, the internet is an invaluable tool providing tons of resources to help them through their academic lives. With all of the papers and essays college students write, Dictionary.com proves extremely beneficial.

So when it comes to Dictionary.com, what are college students looking up?

According to a recent press release, Dictionary.com, the leading online and mobile resource for everything word related, released the most popular lookups at colleges across the country.

“While many searches from college students look at words you’d expect to see for homework or research, such as effect and affect, we saw vastly different searches from students once we drilled down on specific areas of the country,” said Michele Turner, CEO of Dictionary.com. “This shows that the issues affecting each campus are very different.”
